Ink Joinery specialises in high-end custom residential and commercial joinery for luxury homes, multi-apartment packages and architect-designed projects across Sydney. With in-house CNC manufacturing, every job is built from approved shop drawings.
Our current pipeline includes full-house joinery packages valued at more than $1 million, luxury apartment fit-outs across Sydney. We are looking for an experienced Joinery Draftsperson who can turn architectural and interior design documentation into accurate, production-ready shop drawings.
What you’ll be doing
- Produce detailed joinery shop drawings from architectural and interior designer drawing packs.
- Draw and set up jobs in Mozaik, ready to send directly to the CNC.
- Detail curved joinery, curved corners, radius paneling, feature bar backs and laminated forms.
- Detail veneer and timber laminate work, including grain direction, book matching and edging.
- Specify Blum hardware, including LEGRABOX, REVEGO pocket door systems, hinges and drawer systems.
- Detail steel, glass, mirror, stone and concealed LED lighting interfaces within joinery.
- Design cabinetry to suit 3600 x 1800 sheet nesting and efficient factory workflow.
- Liaise directly with clients, builders, architects and designers to finalize selections and details.
- Issue drawings for approval,
manage revisions and track client sign-off before manufacture.
- Work closely with the factory floor so drawings build cleanly the first time.
- Assist with site measures and check site dimensions against drawings.
What we’re looking for
- Joinery drafting experience essential, ideally in high-end residential or commercial work.
- Strong working knowledge of Mozaik is advantageous, or experience with a similar cabinet design package, and the ability to learn Mozaik quickly. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, elevations and specifications accurately.
- A sound understanding of cabinetry construction; a cabinetmaking background is a strong advantage.
- Solid communication skills and confidence dealing with clients, architects and designers.
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple jobs and deadlines.
- A sharp eye for detail and a genuine interest in design and quality finishes.
- AutoCAD or SketchUp skills are an advantage.
What we offer
- Competitive salary based on skill and experience.
- The opportunity to work on some of Sydney’s best architect-designed homes and luxury apartments.
- A modern Mulgrave office located upstairs from our CNC-equipped factory.
- A steady, long-term pipeline of quality work.
- A supportive, owner-run business with room to grow.
