Company Background

Our client is a growing financial services organisation that focuses primarily on asset finance. They have experienced significant growth over recent years and are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team, initially on a 6-month fixed-term contract, and support the team through their reporting period.

The Role

As the Financial Accountant, you will report into a Senior Finance Manager, focusing on the following:

- Month-end ownership for multiple entities (journals, reconciliations etc.)
- Preparing financial statements
- Variance analysis and forecasting with commentary
- Assist with statutory account preparation and reporting
- Liaise with external auditors

Your Background

To be considered for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:

- CA qualification
- Robust experience in financial accounting (statutory reporting + month end), OR a First-Time Mover from audit
- Knowledge of statutory reporting (ASIC, APRA etc.)
- Financial Services experience is highly regarded
