Job Description

We're hiring an experienced Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician for our Townsville team. This role suits a trade-qualified tech who wants steady work, good equipment, proper pay and the freedom to get on with the job.

You'll service commercial and industrial sites across Townsville QLD, where reliable cooling isn't optional. You'll work on:

- Split and ducted systems
- VRV / VRF
- Chillers
- Commercial refrigeration, cool rooms and freezer rooms
- Mechanical plant
- Controls and BMS

You'll have a planned schedule, a solid client base and a supportive team behind you, not constant chaos and unrealistic workloads.

- Permanent full time role, paid weekly
- Overtime and penalty rates paid in full, with no rolled-up rates
- Fully maintained company vehicle and fuel card
- Phone and tablet supplied from day one
- Planned schedules and an established client base
- Stable national pipeline of commercial and industrial work
- Ongoing training, upskilling and a path to senior roles

What you'll be doing

- Servicing, diagnosing and repairing commercial and industrial HVAC/R equipment
- Completing planned preventative maintenance
- Fault-finding mechanical, electrical and controls issues
- Installing, commissioning and decommissioning HVAC/R equipment
- Attending breakdowns and getting critical cooling back online




- Completing digital service reports, photos and asset records
- Communicating professionally with clients and site contacts
- Working with dispatch to plan your day and keep jobs moving

About the Candidate

- Cert III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or equivalent
- Current Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARCtick)
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Proven commercial or industrial HVAC/R experience
- Ability to work independently and manage your own jobs
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- A skilled approach to safety and quality
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test

Bonus points for

- EWP, Working at Heights or Confined Space tickets
- BMS / controls experience
- Commercial refrigeration, cool room or process cooling experience
- Experience on industrial, mining, port or large commercial sites
