Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Hand to join our vibrant team at our Japanese Restaurant in Ivanhoe East. The Kitchen Hand plays a crucial role in supporting our chefs and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food and eager to learn in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes as directed by the chefs
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas
- Wash and sanitise kitchen utensils, equipment, and dishes
- Support the chefs during service by ensuring timely delivery of food items
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Assist with stock management and inventory control




- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a kitchen workplace, preferably in a Japanese restaurant
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends

Preferably speaking Chinese
