About the role

A new chance has come available for an experienced All Rounder, Maintenance Officer to join the team at our Aged Care facility located in remote APY Lands.

This position is being offered on a permanent, full-time basis at the salary of $33.34 - $34.71 / hour gross.

In addition, your remuneration for this role includes:

- Shared housing and utilities
- $5,000 travel allowance per annum
- Salary sacrifice benefits which can add up to $5,000 additional in wages.
- Annual pay increases in accordance with our current Enterprise Agreement.

This role will see you undertake a range of generalist handy person duties to keep our facilities in the best condition possible this will include general maintenance, painting, plumbing etc and grounds supporting including mowing and weeding. You will also provide support and guidance for external contracts who are on site to support the facility when required.

This opportunity will suite a person who is proactive and leads by example. You will have previous experience in a maintenance or handy man environment and be looking for casual work opportunities, you must also hold a current NT Drivers Licence and be comfortable travelling between our two facilities. In addition, you will be comfortable working within an Aged Care facility and interacting respectfully with our residents.

Skills & experience:

To be considered for this role, we would be looking at applications that hold the following experience and skills:

- Previous experience in a trade/building maintenance or handy man role.
- Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office applications
- Competent in the use of hand/power tools and light machinery.
- Sound understanding of A/C, plumbing, electrical & fire systems – Preferred.
- Ability to reflect on own performance and seek guidance when required.
