We are currently seeking reliable and hardworking Dockhands to join our team in Shepparton on a casual, on-call basis.
This role is ideal for someone looking for flexibility, extra income, or work that allows them to keep the majority of their day free. Shifts are generally 4-5 hours in duration , commencing early in the morning and finishing approximately 9:00am-10:00am , Monday to Friday.
About the Role As a Dockhand, you will assist with the safe and efficient loading and unloading of freight, sorting consignments, and maintaining a tidy work area within a fast-paced transport environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading freight
- Sorting, scanning and staging freight for dispatch
- Manual handling and lifting duties
- Maintaining a protected and organised work area
- Following workplace health and safety procedures
- Assisting with general dock operations as required
About You
- Reliable and available to work at short notice
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Robust attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Previous warehouse, freight or transport experience highly regarded
- Forklift Licence preferred but not essential
