This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced caretaker, facilities assistant, site supervisor, or maintenance professional to play a key role in maintaining a secure, secure, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

- Opening and securing the school site.




- Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs.
- Ensuring the school grounds are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Conducting regular health and safety checks.
- Managing deliveries and liaising with contractors on site.
- Supporting the setup of classrooms, halls, and facilities for school events.
- Identifying and reporting maintenance issues.
- Assisting with compliance and site documentation where required.
- Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

- Previous experience in a caretaker, facilities, estates, maintenance, or site management role.
- Good practical DIY and maintenance skills.
- An understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A flexible and proactive approach to work.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
