About the Role

We are looking for a landscape design manager to join the team. This new position suits someone with strong landscape design experience and a genuine commitment to client care.

You’ll take projects from concept design through to construction plans, delivering designs that are both beautiful and practical. You’ll prepare landscape documentation packages for tender and construction and meet with clients face to face for consultations and briefings. You’ll work closely with our director, architects, and clients across a broad range of projects, therefore excellent communication and attention to detail are essential.

Key responsibilities

- Develop concepts and prepare plans, presentations and briefs for client consultations and site visits
- Prepare landscape documentation packages, construction details and plans for tender and construction using AutoCAD
- Work autonomously on all aspects of design, producing and documenting your own work
- Bring your own creative flair, taste and expertise to each project
- Run client briefings and manage communication,



follow-up and ongoing client care
- Collaborate closely with the director, architects and clients to bring each client’s brief to life
- Support the landscape design team with drafting and documentation across a wide range of high-end residential projects
- Ensure all design packages meet high standards of viability, practicality and design
- 3D rendering skills are preferred but not essential

About you

- 5+ years’ experience in landscape design or architecture
- A degree or qualification in landscape design, architecture or an aligned design field
- Sound knowledge of construction methods, detailing and detailed design, and of Australian building codes
- Excellent working knowledge of horticulture and its use in landscape design
- Local experience with complex, high-end residential landscape projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite and SketchUp
- Previous sales or design experience in a similar or related industry
- Strong verbal and written communication, and the confidence to lead consultations and briefings
- Strategic thinking, analytical and cooperative skills on integrated design projects
- A vibrant personality, positive attitude and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivation and a passion for delivering work of a high calibre
