This is a hands-on role involving the installation of automotive electronics, fleet management systems, safety technology, and vehicle accessories across a wide range of passenger, commercial, and fleet vehicles.
Key responsibilities
- Installing vehicle tracking and telematics systems
- Fitting reverse cameras, parking sensors and dash cameras
- Installing UHF radios, communication equipment and GPS units
- Installing security systems, immobilisers and battery management systems
- Diagnosing and repairing vehicle electrical faults
- Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and technical schematics
- Testing completed installations to ensure quality and compliance
- Assisting with fleet fit-outs and specialised vehicle projects
About you
- Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology (or equivalent)
- Previous experience as an Auto Electrician or Vehicle Electronics Installer
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams
- High attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
