TRS Sheet Metal Fabrication is seeking an experienced metal fabricator to lead onsite installations and carry out fabrication and welding in the Arundel workshop. This is a hands-on role, with primary responsibility for leading the installation team onsite, checking site measurements and ensuring completed installations meet quality standards. When working in the factory, you will carry out fabrication and welding working closely with the Floor Manager to ensure a smooth transition from workshop fabrication to onsite installation.

Key responsibilities

Lead the onsite installation team while remaining hands-on with installation work

Read and interpret shop drawings and specifications

Take and check site measurements to ensure accurate fit and installation

Provide explicit direction and practical support to the installation team

Identify installation issues and communicate any changes or concerns to the Floor Manager

Ensure installations are carried out safely and to a high standard

Complete final quality checks and lead any required rectification work

Carry out fabrication and welding in line with workshop priorities

Work with stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel

Operate metalworking machinery, including press brakes, guillotines and TIG/MIG welding equipment

About you





Strong experience in sheet metal or metal fabrication, including TIG and MIG welding

Proven experience leading onsite installation teams

Practical experience installing fabricated metalwork

Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, specifications and site measurements

Confidence providing clear direction and solving practical problems onsite

Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focused approach

Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with the Floor Manager and wider team

Ability to take ownership of installations while contributing as a fabricator in the workshop
