About the role
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to kickstart your planning career with Macedon Ranges Shire Council's Statutory Planning team. In the role, you'll manage a varied caseload of planning applications and provide clear, consistent advice on a wide range of planning matters. You'll gain valuable hands‑on experience while working within a supportive and collaborative team workplace. This position offers the chance to develop your skills and make a real contribution to the growth and development of the team.
About you
You're a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a strong customer focus, excellent communication skills, and a desire to be challenged early in your planning career. You hold a degree in Town Planning or a related discipline, and bring relevant knowledge or experience in statutory planning. You're eager to grow your expertise and contribute positively to a team that values collaboration and community outcomes.

We support flexible working arrangements . This role is initially office-based for onboarding, with hybrid work available in the future once established in the role, subject to manager approval and operational needs.
