Work Type Full Time

We are an NDIS-registered provider, working throughout Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia, ACT and Tasmania and are looking for experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners across Australia.

You probably didn’t get into this field for the admin time, so we work to keep that to a minimum by utilising an array of technologies to allow you to focus on delivering exceptional services in an efficient way.

About the role:

Our Behaviour Support Practitioner positions provide Behaviour Support services to the local area of the practitioner’s home location. We have a particular need for a practitioner who has experience working across all ages.

This role has the flexibility to either be part-time (min 4 days) or full-time . This is a hybrid working from home and mobile role. You will be based at home and will go out to visit people in their homes, schools, workplaces, programs, and in the community.

Being a behaviour support specialist involves working with people and their support networks to bring about behavioural change. We do this by understanding the relationship between a person’s environment (social and physical) and their behaviour, and then influencing that person’s environment so that it sets them up for success. Another important part of the role is supporting skill development, to ensure people have effective ways to get their needs met.

Our practitioners meet with clients, conduct assessments, analyse behavioural data, develop strategies and Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs) , support implementation of those strategies and plans, monitor progress, and review where necessary. The role involves other elements, too – connecting with other team members, attending training, participating in projects or research, facilitating workshops, and more. We are proud to have a diverse and passionate team, and we support people to lean into their strengths and interests.

About you:

- An experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner, preferably with 2 years minimum Behaviour Support Practitioner experience
- Registered with the NDIS as a suitable Behaviour Support Practitioner
- Value integrity, collaboration, and transparency
- Passionate about this work – the science and the people
- A friendly, empathetic, and explicit communicator
- You have relevant undergraduate qualifications (ABA, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Early Childhood, Teaching, Mental Health)
- Ideally, you have postgraduate qualifications or are working toward them
- Experience working with all ages,

or are willing to expand to work with all ages, with our support
- Experience undertaking functional assessments and developing PBSPs
- Experience in coaching families and support workers, ideally in implementing PBSPs that you have written
- A current driver license, and an insured roadworthy vehicle
- Current NDIS Worker Screening and WWCC
