About the role
Full time - 12 month Maternity Leave Cover for 2027
We are looking for a full time Secondary Visual Arts Teacher to cover Maternity Leave for 2027.
We envision an experienced teacher with a proven record in secondary education,
who has an understanding and is able to implement restorative practices and the principles of Lutheran Education to join the College. Experience in teaching Visual Art to secondary students (7-12) is required.
You must have the following knowledge and skills:
- Motivation and a passion to work with and support young people on their journey through secondary education
- Enthusiasm and flexibility with the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Ability and desire to actively support the values and ethos of a Christian school
All teaching staff are expected to continually engage in qualified learning and development to improve teaching knowledge and practices. All work is to be performedin accordance withAustralian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) professional standards.
About you
You are highly organised, have excellent communications skills and have an ability to build strong relationships with a collaborativeproblem solving andsolution-focused approach to your teaching practice and team skills whilst striving for continuous improvement.
The successful applicantwill have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and relevant leadership experience
- Hold or be willing and able to obtain and maintain a current clearance to work with children (WWCC)
- Hold or be willing to maintain a current Responding to Risk,
Harm and Neglect in an educational setting (RRHAN-EC)
- Hold a current South Australian Teachers Registration Certificate
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan, set, and prioritise work
- Ability to work well under pressure of deadlines
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Motivation and apassion to workwith and supportyoung people on their educational journey
- Ability and desire to actively support the values and ethos of a Christian school
