About the role
Macleay Psychology is seeking psychologists, occupational therapists, and social workers to meet our growing referral base.

Clinical freedom - you choose your clients and use your preferred interventions.

Work-life balance - you choose your days, hours, and holidays. A 17–23-minute commute to beautiful seaside locations, such as Hat Head, South West Rocks, and Crescent Head.

More clients - Current waitlist of 40+ clients across the lifespan.

Less chaos - no admin, plus warm and friendly colleagues.

Social Workers

Contractor and employment options available. Take home contractor rates of $140 - $177 (and potentially up to $222 for insurance clients) per session for registered psychologists, or $196 - $222 for clinical psychologists. Employment packages can be negotiated based on experience. All roles offer complete flexibility; you choose your own days, hours, and clients. We take care of all administration, provide newly renovated modern rooms, and have ample referrals waiting for you. Work between 1–5 days per week with clients face-to-face. This is not a telehealth position.

What we offer

A warm, supportive team environment with four psychologists, an occupational therapist, an allied health assistant, and full admin support. Peer supervision readily available.





Five beautifully appointed therapy rooms, conveniently located next to coffee and a bakery!

Full administrative support — we manage referrals, bookings, and billing for you.

A waitlist of Medicare, private, NDIS, DVA, and insurance clients from across the lifespan for intervention and/or assessment. Work with clients that are the best fit for you.

Complete control over your hours, holidays, and caseload.

Competitive 70/30 fee split arrangement.

What we're looking for

Professionals who genuinelycare about their clients, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively.

Current AHPRA registration for psychologists and occupational therapists, or AASW membership for social workers, and eligibility for a Medicare provider number.

Strong time management skills and the ability to manage your own caseload.

Motivated professionals who value both clinical excellence and a fun, supportive team culture.
