Based in Mildura, Victoria, Pastoral Panels Pty Ltd is an Australian owned and operated. Pastoral Panels designs and supplies permanent and semi-permanent stock yard kits, feeders and loading ramps for all sizes of stock operations. We are currently seeking a dedicated full time Welder to join our team. The salary offered is $79,423 per annum plus superannuation.
Duties and responsibilities The Welder will undertake the following duties and responsibilities:
- Interprets engineering drawings and specifications to determine welding requirements and ensure that the design fits the client’s purposes.
- Applies appropriate welding techniques to join metal sections, ensuring high-quality standards in line with our culture and producing precise welds.
- Monitors and adjusts welding parameters to ensure the quality and integrity of welds, ensuring compliance with engineering standards,
including those for high-cyclonic regions.
- Cleans welds by filing, chiselling and grinding.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, protocols, and PPE requirements.
- Inspects and tests welded joints for defects and compliance with specifications.
- Work closely with another fitter-welder, mechanics, and managers to ensure timely project completion.
The applicants will have the following skills and experience:
- Relevant formal qualification in Welding, preferably Certificate 2
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Previous work as a welder is highly desirable.
- Strong commitment towards safety and quality.
- Ability to work to high-quality standards while maintaining awareness of our Quality Assurance processes.
