Petit Crenn Melbourne is a neighbourhood café and wine bar shaped by the soul of France and the energy of Australia. Classic dishes, prepared à la minute, meet thoughtful wines and cocktails, all guided by seasonality and restraint. Scheduled to open in October 2026 and will be centrally located at the entrance to the historic InterContinental Melbourne the Rialto.

About the Role

Full-time and part-time opportunities for Senior Section Waiters are available across both morning and evening shifts from Tuesday to Saturday (breakfast, lunch and dinner).

As part of the front of house service team , you will greet guests, take orders, make recommendations, deliver food & beverages to the table and generally provide exceptional service to guests to ensure they have an incredible dining experience.

Welcome guests, take orders, make recommendations on dishes and beverages with your outstanding knowledge of the menu.

Build strong relationships through your genuine passion for food and service, with both new and returning clientele to drive loyalty, gather feedback and enhance the dining experience.

Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by proactively engaging with guests, resolving concerns promptly and placing the guest experience at the centre of decision‑making.

Maintain impeccable presentation, cleanliness and functionality of restaurant facilities in line with health regulations; value professional standards of uniform, grooming and personal hygiene.





Identify and maximise opportunities to upsell products and experiences that meet guest needs.

Ensure service standards, RSA requirements, food safety regulations, workplace health and safety legislation, and company policies are consistently met.

Attend training and meetings as required and perform other duties as per the job description and as directed by your manager.

What We Need from You

You must hold a valid and unrestricted work visa to work in Australia

Minimum two years as a Senior Section Waiter in a premium la carte restaurant, cafe or wine bar and be able to demonstrate a genuine passion for food and wine.

Ability to manage your own section and delivering attentive and knowledgeable service.

Guide guests through Petit Crenn Melbourne's unique food and wine menu, confidently making recommendations and identifying opportunities to upsell.

Be confident with wine service some knowledge of styles, regions and producers

Experience with French cuisine is desirable.

Availability to work a rotating roster including nights and Saturdays

Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certification

Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, and work as part of a team with respect and integrity.

Knowledge of Safe Food Handling

Excellent verbal and written English skills
