Key responsibilities

- Review tender documents, drawings and specs, and prepare detailed estimates
- Measure and quantify materials, labour and plant
- Get quotes from subcontractors and suppliers, then compare them and level them against each other
- Develop Design & Construct estimates with the design team
- Spot risks, opportunities and value-engineering options
- Attend pre-tender meetings, site inspections and client briefings
- Prepare tender submissions, cost breakdowns and project budgets on time
- Run post-tender reviews to keep improving our estimating accuracy
- Keep across market rates, material costs and construction methods

About you

- 7+ years' estimating experience in commercial construction
- Confident with Buildsoft, Cubit or similar, and MS Office
- Able to read architectural and engineering drawings
- Solid numbers, attention to detail and negotiation skills




- Calm under deadline pressure and able to juggle several tenders at once
- D&C; estimating experience and a QS or Construction Management qualification are highly regarded
