We are seeking an experienced Senior UI Designer to join a major digital transformation program delivering accessible, intuitive and visually compelling user interfaces for high-impact government services. About the Role
As a Senior UI Designer, you will
- Lead UI design across web and application interfaces
- Apply accessible and inclusive design principles to ensure usability for all user
- Create complex data visualisations, including graphs and map-based visualisations (DCF Level 2)
- Rapidly prototype and convert static designs into interactive code
- Establish, maintain and govern a UI component library or design system
- Facilitate workshops, user research sessions and usability testing
- Work closely with UX, product, engineering and stakeholder groups to deliver high-quality outcomes
Key Experience Required
- 2+ years’ experience in a senior UI design role
- Solid capability in accessible, inclusive design and UX best practice
- Experience with data visualisation, including complex graphs and map visualisations
- Ability to produce rapid prototypes and turn designs into interactive codeExperience establishing and governing a UI component library / design system
- Skilled in workshops, user research and usability testing
