The Unit Director is a key academic role responsible for the design, delivery, integration, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement of organ-system units (OSUs) within OUM's rigorous and innovative MD curriculum. Working collaboratively with faculty, clinical educators, and curriculum leaders, Unit Directors ensure high-quality learning experiences that support student success and meet accreditation and institutional standards.

- Governance & Service: Participate in key university committees (such as Learning & Teaching, Examinations, and Student Affairs) and ensure compliance with medical accreditation standards (e.g., WFME, SQA, PAASCU).

- Student Engagement & Support: Serve as the primary academic contact for students in the unit, offering guidance, monitoring progression, supporting remediation, and co-supervising student research projects where appropriate.

About You (Selection Criteria)

- Medical Degree: MD, MBBS, DO, or equivalent medical qualification with current licensure/registration in good standing.

- Mentorship & Collaboration: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of effective collaboration and student mentorship in distributed environments.

- Scholarly & Professional Commitment:

Active involvement in scholarship, continuous professional development, and a demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and cultural inclusivity.
