Role Responsibilities:

Hands-on Delivery

Leading design in the web squad, you will deliver a polished, high-craft web experience to help Australians build long-term wealth on Betashares Direct. Foster close collaboration with product managers and web developers, emphasising constant communication between designers and engineers. Iterate on product design within a unified design system, ensuring alignment with the desired customer outcomes and a consistently high bar for visual and interaction craft.

Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate closely with key internal experts to gather valuable insights and feedback. Cultivate andmaintainrelationships with these stakeholders, actively contributing to your education in financial services.

Design Innovation and Iteration

Collaborate with the Growth and Research leads to increase activation, retention, and engagement, and continuously improve existing features. Work closely with squad leads to instil a culture of building a world-class, meticulously crafted web product.

Design System Maintenance

Act as the custodian of our web design system, the Figma source of truth, and design processes for the web team. Ensure consistency and scalability bymaintainingand evolving the design system to meet the needs of the evolving product landscapeand champion its adoption across the web team.

Key skills and experience:

End-to-end product design Demonstrated experience in all phases of product design, with a strong emphasis on delivering user-centric solutions.

UX/UIexpertiseand craft Proficiency in crafting user experiences through wireframes, user flows, and intuitive UI designs, backed by strong visual and interaction craft. Proven ability to produce high-quality, polished design deliverables toa high levelof detail, and proficient in creating interactive prototypes to convey design concepts and interactions effectively.

Design systems A genuine interest in,



and experience working with, design systems. Comfortable contributing to and evolving a sharedcomponentlibrary, and thinking in reusable, scalable patterns rather than one-off solutions.

AI & emerging design tools Comfortable using (and continuously learning) modern design tooling, including AI-assisted workflows to improve quality and speed of delivery, whilemaintainingstrong craft and judgment. Curious aboutnew designtechnologies and willing to experiment and evaluate what works to improve the design team’s processes and toolkit.

Stakeholder management Proficient in articulating complex design concepts and ideas in a clear, concise manner. Ability to actively listen, address concerns, and incorporate valuable feedback, fostering strong collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders.

A passion to help customers build wealth A interest in investment is a minimum requirement with prior knowledge and experience in fintech or banking being highly preferred.

- How do enterprise leaders budget, forecast, and distribute AI usage across thousands of employees so teams can innovate freely without fear of surprise bills?

What you’ll do

- You’ll shape and vision strategic initiatives, acting as a key facilitator alongside Product and Engineering leadership. You’ll take high-level strategic concepts, shape them into short and longer term visions, and validate before they hit production.
- Lead through facilitation and collaborative prototyping. Your role centres around bringing teams together on the spot to explore concepts, course-correct ideas in real time, and align stakeholders around tangible, validated human-centred experiences.
- Design for and with AI to improve the user experience and our own processes. You’ll craft non-deterministic AI workflows, intelligent assistants, and insight driven analytics. You’ll actively leverage and explore modern AI tools in your own daily workflow to prototype and iterate at high velocity, sharing and contributing to wider team processes.
- Define and scale our design system to proactively identify when UI patterns break under complex workflows and how our visual language evolves across key growth areas. You’ll define, document, and evolve our design system components so that our platform remains cohesive as it scales.
- Bridge strategy and production, balance fast-paced exploration with meticulous execution. You’ll transition smoothly from fast generative prototyping into traditional and emerging design tools to deliver crisp, accurate production assets and guidelines for our engineering teams.

What you’ll bring

- Deep B2B SaaS and enterprise pedigree. 5+ years of experience designing complex platform workflows, backed by a portfolio that demonstrates your role in establishing, expanding, or maintaining scalable design systems.
- High craft, product taste, and a high bar in visual and interaction design polish. You have a low tolerance for clunky UX, a sharp eye for layout harmony, and a natural instinct for when to invent recent design primitives versus leveraging existing ones.
- Solid facilitative and strategic instincts. You're comfortable stepping into ambiguous spaces to lead shaping initiatives, frame problems visually, and guide non-design stakeholders toward clarity and consensus.
- Technical pragmatism and the history of partnering closely with engineering leads early in the process to understand complex data, technical trade-offs, and build feasible solutions without diluting quality.
- A passion for alistically robust approach emerging AI integration, high quality asset editing, peer collaboration, interactive bias expositions etc.
