Leading US Law Firm | Premium Cross-Border Work A rare opportunity has arisen for a tax lawyer to join the Sydney office of a highly regarded US law firm with a market-leading reputation for complex cross-border transactions.
Working closely with a recognised tax partner, you will advise multinational corporations, private equity sponsors, funds and major corporates on some of the most sophisticated transactions in the Australian market.
This role offers a genuine opportunity to become a key member of a growing practice with significant exposure to clients, business development and high-end international work.
The Role
You will advise on a broad range of matters including:
- M&A; transactions and takeovers
- Corporate and debt restructurings
- Cross-border tax structuring
- Private equity and fund investments
- Financing and capital raising transactions
- Tax aspects of inbound and outbound investments
- Tax due diligence and transaction support
- ATO engagements, rulings and disputes
The practice acts on complex domestic and international transactions for multinational clients across a range of industries and sectors.
About You
We are interested in speaking with lawyers who have:
- Approximately 3-6 years' PQE
- Strong corporate tax experience gained at a leading Australian or international law firm
- Experience advising on M&A;, restructures, funds or financing transactions
- Exposure to cross-border tax matters
- Excellent technical and drafting skills
- Commercial judgement and strong client relationship abilities
- A desire to build a long-term career within a premium global platform
Experience dealing with the ATO, tax controversy matters or private equity transactions will be highly regarded.
