People8 has partnered with Inertia Engineering, an established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, to recruit an experienced Civil Team Lead for their Brisbane team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil Team Leader to lead a technical team and oversee civil engineering design for commercial, industrial and other built environment projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor and develop a team of civil engineers, designers and drafters.
- Oversee civil design for commercial buildings, industrial facilities, warehouses and other built environment developments.
- Provide technical leadership across earthworks, stormwater drainage, detention systems, pavements, access roads and site infrastructure.
- Review and approve civil engineering designs, calculations and documentation.
- Coordinate civil design with structural engineers, architects and other building services disciplines.
- Manage project delivery, technical quality, resources and deadlines.
- Work closely with clients, builders, architects and external consultants.
- Develop and improve engineering design standards, processes and team performance.
- Support client relationships and contribute to business growth.

What We're Looking For





- 5-8 years' experience in civil engineering design within an Australian engineering consultancy.
- Strong experience in commercial and industrial built environment projects, rather than predominantly residential land subdivisions.
- Previous experience leading or mentoring civil engineers and designers.
- Strong technical knowledge of stormwater, earthworks, pavements, detention basins and site infrastructure.
- Experience with 12d, Civil 3D and/or AutoCAD.
- Understanding of Australian Standards, development approvals and construction documentation.
- Strong client management, communication and project delivery skills.
- Degree in Civil Engineering.
- RPEQ registration highly regarded.
