About the Opportunity A well-established Australian manufacturing business is seeking a commercially minded and technically capable Business Analyst to join their team.

This role will work across multiple functions including Procurement, Operations, Finance, Sales, and Supply Chain, providing critical analytics, financial insights, and performance reporting to support business decision-making.

The successful candidate will play a key role in improving business performance through data analysis, financial modelling, reporting automation, and process improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on position offering broad exposure across operational and commercial functions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Commercial Analysis

- Support sourcing and procurement initiatives through data analysis and reporting.
- Conduct spend analysis, cost modelling, and supplier performance reviews.
- Track cost-saving initiatives and support financial reporting requirements.
- Monitor market trends and input costs to support strategic purchasing decisions.

Data & Reporting
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical tools.
- Provide actionable insights to operational and commercial stakeholders.

Operational Performance
- Analyse operational and production performance metrics.
- Identify improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.





Commercial & Financial Support
- Support profitability analysis, forecasting, and financial modelling.
- Partner with Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, and Operations teams on key business initiatives.

Project Support
- Assist with project coordination, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
- Support monthly reporting cycles and strategic improvement programs.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and business initiatives as required.

About You To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent business acumen, and the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights.

Skills & Experience

- Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, industrial, logistics, or supply chain environments.
- Strong analytical, financial modelling, and reporting capabilities.
- Experience with ERP systems, Power BI, SQL, or other reporting tools preferred.
- Solid stakeholder management and communication skills.
