The Opportunity:

We’re seeking an Accountant who wants to grow their accounting experience in the fast-paced food industry. You’ll learn how our products are made, marketed, and sold to major retailers, while working alongside a highly experienced national finance team.

Supporting critical financial processes and partnering with stakeholders across the organisation, you’ll contribute to the accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement of our finance operations while gaining exposure to a diverse range of accounting activities in a dynamic FMCG environment.

This is not a senior role yet a great career prospect for someone who has 2-4 years’ experience and wants to learn and grow their finance capabilities. We are medium sized business which means you will have daily access to colleagues in other teams and at all levels. You won’t be stuck in a corner processing by yourself all day!

It’s a great career opportunity as our finance team is large, so you can learn from many and be emersed in a leading FMCG environment. You will also get the opportunity to work on projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage daily bank reconciliations and prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and control
- Support month-end activities, including journal preparation, expense reviews, period-end processing, and reconciliation of financial accounts
- Maintain the fixed asset register, including asset capitalisation, disposals, transfer, and depreciation forecasting




- Manage the IFRS16 lease accounting, including monthly journals and budget and forecasting activities
- Support compliance and reporting requirements through the preparation of BAS, FBT, expense reporting and ABS submissions

To Succeed with Us:

- 2-4 years’ experience as a Financial Accountant
- FMCG experience would be great but is not mandatory
- A tertiary qualification in Accounting with CA or CPA studies underway or planned
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and confidence working with ERP systems
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with a continuous improvement mindset
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, coupled with a collaborative and adaptable approach
