Global Vision Migration Lawyers is seeking a Mandarin-speaking Immigration Lawyer to join our expanding Melbourne team.

We are looking for an Australian-admitted lawyer who is fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English, with practical experience in Australian immigration law, particularly employer-sponsored visa applications.

This is an excellent opportunity for a bilingual legal professional looking to build their career within a supportive and growing immigration law firm.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide professional immigration legal advice to Mandarin-speaking and English-speaking clients.
2. Manage Australian visa applications, particularly Subclasses 407, 482, 494 and 186.
3. Prepare visa applications, nomination submissions, supporting documentation and legal correspondence.
4. Communicate effectively with clients, employers and relevant authorities in Mandarin and English.
5. Provide advice on employer sponsorship requirements and skilled migration pathways.
6. Stay informed about changes to Australian immigration legislation, regulations and policies.
7. Maintain accurate client files and ensure compliance with professional and ethical obligations.
8.



Contribute to client relationship management and business development initiatives.

Essential Requirements

1. Fluent Mandarin and English communication skills – essential.
2. Admitted to practise law in Australia, with eligibility to hold an appropriate Australian practising certificate.
3. Minimum 1–2 years of practical experience in Australian migration law.
4. Demonstrated experience handling employer-sponsored visa subclasses 407, 482, 494 and 186.
5. Strong understanding of Australian immigration legislation and visa application processes.
6. Excellent drafting, communication and client management skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple matters independently while working collaboratively with a legal team.
8. Strong attention to detail and a client-focused approach.
