About the Role

Moonlight Cinema Melbourne is seeking experienced Kitchen Crew to join the team for the summer at the iconic Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne. This hands-on casual role is integral to preparing, cooking, and delivering high-quality food to our guests and supporting smooth kitchen operations across the event season. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment and contribute to creating memorable guest experiences.

You must be available to work nights, including weekends, from mid-November through early April.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, cook, and assemble food items according to recipes and portion controls
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards
- Restock and rotate stock, and assist with prep stations during service
- Support smooth service flow with front-of-house and kitchen teams
- Monitor kitchen equipment and report hazards or issues promptly

What You'll Bring

- Minimum 1 year kitchen experience, preferably in high-volume hospitality or event settings
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety
- Trade qualification and Food Safety Supervisor Certification (preferred)




- Positive attitude with strong communications skills
- Team player with solid organisation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Valid RSA and Australian work rights (essential)
