Cadia is a major gold and copper mining operation in central New South Wales, about 25 kilometres from the city of Orange and 250 kilometres west of Sydney. The site is known for the Cadia East underground mine – one of the world’s largest gold deposits – which uses innovative block caving methods to produce gold doré and gold-rich copper concentrate. Unlike remote mines, Cadia is a residential (drive-in, drive-out) operation where many employees live with their families in nearby communities, enjoying the Orange region’s excellent lifestyle and amenities.

Your Contribution

As a Manager Asset Management, you'll ensure operational assets are used efficiently, maintained reliably and managed cost-effectively to support the productivity,



safety, sustainability and profitability of the Cadia operation. You’ll lead asset management strategies that improve equipment and plant availability while supporting safe and sustained mine operations.

As Part of Our Team, You Will

- Lead asset management activities with a strong focus on safety, regulatory compliance and stopping unsafe work.
- Develop and maintain asset lifecycle plans and preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programmes that improve reliability, availability and efficiency.
- Monitor asset performance, maintenance trends and operating costs to identify improvement opportunities and support capital planning. Lead, coach and mentor engineers and other asset management personnel, while managing contractors and internal and external maintenance services.
- Collaborate across Mine Technical Services, Mine Operations, processing, projects, Finance, planning, corporate teams and business partners to deliver integrated operational plans.

Prerequisites for Success in This Role
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Considerable experience in asset management, including experience in roles with increasing responsibility. Strong knowledge of asset lifecycle management,



maintenance practices, mining or processing operations, asset performance measures and risk management.
- Experience leading and developing teams, with the ability to influence, negotiate and resolve conflict across a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of health, safety, environmental and sustainability requirements, supported by skills in strategic planning and an understanding of cost management and financial principles in mining.

Your Work Environment
- Based at Newmont’s Cadia operation.
- Work within an Operations and Mine Technical Services environment focused on maintaining and optimising existing mining systems and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Mine Technical Services, Mine Operations, Sustaining Capital Projects, Mill Operations, Finance, Long-Term Planning, corporate teams, business partners and contractors.
- Lead, coach and mentor engineers while contributing to a positive and productive working environment.
- Support a work setting where all unsafe work is stopped.
