Role Description The Manager role at Tradelink is a full time, on-site position based in Melbourne, VIC. In this role, the Manager oversees day-to-day branch operations, including staff supervision, workflow coordination, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The Manager is responsible for driving sales and profitability, managing inventory, and maintaining an organized and safe workplace.

Daily tasks include supporting team members, resolving customer issues, fostering strong relationships with trade and retail customers,



and implementing promotional initiatives. The Manager also monitors performance metrics, prepares reports, and works closely with senior leadership to achieve branch and regional goals.

Qualifications

- Experience in team leadership and people management, including coaching, performance feedback, and staff development.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage trade professionals and retail customers effectively.
- Proficiency in sales, basic budgeting, and inventory management, with a focus on achieving branch targets and operational efficiency.
- Solid organizational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Familiarity with plumbing, bathroom, kitchen, or building supply products, or a willingness to quickly learn technical product information.
- Comfort with basic computer systems and point-of-sale software; experience with ERP or inventory systems is an advantage.
- Previous experience in retail, trade, or branch management is highly regarded; supervisory experience in a related industry is preferred.
- Valid work rights in Australia and the ability to work on-site in Melbourne, VIC; a valid driver’s license is beneficial.
