About The Role

Join Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) Mental Health Services and play a key role in coordinating access, demand and patient flow across a diverse and comprehensive Mental Health Service.

Working as part of the Demand Management Team, you will support timely access to inpatient care, facilitate effective clinical decision-making, and contribute to the delivery of protected, efficient, patient-centred and trauma-informed care in line with NSW Ministry of Health and Sydney Local Health District policies and performance benchmarks.

Sydney Local Health District provides a broad range of general and specialist mental health services across the Professor Marie Bashir Centre and Concord Centre for Mental Health. Services include adult, child and adolescent, older persons, parent and baby, eating disorders and forensic mental health services, as well as a statewide-accessible Mental Health Intensive Care Unit supporting people with high-acuity and complex presentations.

Ideal Candidate

- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Recent management experience with experience in leading staff and managing services in the relevant setting, supported by a relevant tertiary management qualification and/or work experience
- Demonstrated well developed leadership skills and highly developed communication skills including the ability to manage conflicts and performance issues when they arise
