Partner Manager | $120–130K Base + [OTE TBC] | Melbourne

Partnerships Management. Get them live. Make them grow.

This fintech and payments platform has processed over $15 billion in business payments. More than 100,000 Australian businesses use it to move money, and roughly 10,000 more join every quarter.

A big share of that growth comes through partners. Fintechs, payroll platforms, HR and accounting software providers all want the platform built into their products. The demand is there. What matters now is turning signed agreements into partners that actually send volume.

That’s the gap this role closes. Plenty of partnerships get signed and then go quiet. Integration stalls, the partner’s sales team forgets it exists, and six months later it’s a logo on a slide and nothing in the pipeline.

Your job is to make sure that doesn’t happen. You’ll own a portfolio of partners from onboarding through activation to ongoing growth, and you’ll be measured on what they produce, not how many meetings you had with them.

Why This Role?

- $120–130K base + [OTE TBC]
- A platform with real scale behind it: $15B+ processed, 100,000+ businesses, 10,000 added every quarter
- Inbound partner demand. You’re not cold-pitching people who’ve never heard of the product
- Direct ownership of a partner portfolio and the revenue it generates
- High autonomy, low bureaucracy. You run your partners your way, measured on outcomes
- Clear commercial impact. Partner growth is a visible lever on the company’s numbers, so good work gets noticed

What You’ll Actually Do

- Onboard new partners end to end, covering the commercial kick-off,

integration milestones, and go-live
- Activate partners after launch, which means getting their sales and success teams referring and selling, and getting the first deals through quick
- Run regular business reviews with each partner, built on pipeline, volume and revenue rather than how the relationship feels
- Find expansion inside existing partners: new segments, new products, deeper integrations, co-marketing
- Agree rules of engagement, lead handover and deal registration with each partner, and step in when deals collide
- Work with product, marketing and the internal sales team to remove friction and get partners what they need
- Track partner-sourced pipeline in the CRM and report on it honestly, including when a partner is underperforming
- Spot partners that are going quiet early, and either fix the relationship or make the call to deprioritise it

Who This Suits You don’t need a decade in channel sales. What matters is that you’ve taken a relationship from signed to producing, and you can show the numbers that prove it.

- Experience in partner management, channel, alliances or account management where revenue came through someone else’s team
- Commercial instincts.

You know the difference between a partner who’s engaged and one who’s just polite
- Comfortable in a CRM. You can build a report, chase dirty data, and explain a funnel without help
- Organised enough to run multiple partners at different stages at once without any of them going stale
- Confident with senior stakeholders on the partner side, and willing to have the awkward conversation when things aren’t working

Some background in fintech, payments, payroll or SaaS ecosystems helps, but it’s not essential. Being able to get another company’s team to prioritise your product matters more. Why This Role Is Different

Most partner manager roles are relationship babysitting. You get a list of logos, a quarterly catch-up cadence, and no real way to move the number. This isn’t that. The partners here are integrating a product their own customers want, and the company is growing by 10,000 businesses a quarter, so the upside from a well-run partner is real and measurable.

You also aren’t starting from zero demand. Partners are lining up to integrate. The job is converting that interest into revenue, which is a much better problem to have than chasing partners who don’t care.

This role is to be filled by Pointer, it is not for Pointer. The successful candidate will also receive 12 months of ongoing training and support, including advanced training programs and access to communities for professional growth - All of which is provided by Pointer in addition to internal programs.
