Company Description

Tommy Taco is an early-stage rapid-casual restaurant brand bringing the Chipotle-style build-your-own burrito and bowl experience to Australia. Founded in September 2026, Tommy Taco is opening its first location in Sydney in Summer 2028. Over the next two years we're developing our menu, building our team and testing recipes, starting with a private tasting event for around 50 guests in Brisbane.

Role Description

This is a one-off, unpaid Prep Cook role for a single evening tasting event at a rented industrial kitchen in Brisbane, Queensland. The Prep Cook will help get the kitchen ready before service and support the chefs on the night. Tasks include:

- Washing and chopping produce.
- Preparing marinades, salsas and guacamole.
- Portioning ingredients and setting up stations.




- Helping with cleaning and pack-down.

Qualifications

- Comfortable with basic knife skills and food preparation.
- Willing to follow food safety and hygiene practices. Food handler training will be arranged if needed.
- Able to stay on your feet for several hours in a busy kitchen.
- Works well with a small, high-energy team.
- Kitchen experience is a plus but not required.
- Available on the event date once confirmed.
