Join PSC’s Telecommunications & Networking team and play a key role in the project and commercial management of critical infrastructure projects across APAC.
Working alongside engineers, technical specialists and field teams, this role brings structure, commercial discipline and strong project governance to complex client delivery. From project start-up through to closeout, the focus is on maintaining control of scope, schedule, budget, forecasting, risk and client commitments, while identifying commercial exposure and scope change early.
This isn’t a technical engineering authority role. Instead, it’s an opportunity to create the environment in which technical teams can deliver successfully, while strengthening project controls, commercial performance and delivery consistency across the Telecommunications & Networking portfolio.
For a commercially minded Project Manager who enjoys working with technical teams and bringing clarity to complex delivery, this offers genuine scope to make an impact.
What you’ll be doing A key part of the opportunity is strengthening the commercial rhythm around projects: understanding commitments, maintaining visibility against budget and forecast, identifying scope movement early, and ensuring variations and emerging commercial risks don’t get lost in day-to-day delivery.
Project Delivery & Commercial Management
· Manage telecommunications and networking projects from start-up through delivery, handover and closeout, bringing technical teams, clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders together around a clear delivery plan.
· Maintain visibility across scope, schedule, budget, forecast, resources, risks and key commitments, using practical project controls to identify issues early and keep delivery moving.
Commercial Control & Project Performance
· Commercial management sits at the heart of the role, with a strong focus on cost-to-complete forecasting, revenue, margin, invoicing, variations and cash flow.
· This includes establishing projects on the right commercial footing,
identifying scope changes and emerging exposure early, and working with project finance and business leaders to take appropriate action.
Project Governance & Controls
· Beyond individual project delivery, the role will help strengthen how projects are managed across the Telecommunications & Networking portfolio.
· Bring practical discipline to planning, project controls, risk and issue management, change control, reporting and project reviews, improving visibility of project health and supporting better business and delivery decisions.
Telecommunications & Critical Infrastructure Delivery Assurance
· Our projects bring together engineering, field services, suppliers and client teams within telecommunications, networking and critical infrastructure environments.
· Technical decisions remain with the responsible engineers and specialists. The Project Manager creates the structure around those teams, providing clarity of scope, accountability for commitments, visibility of cost and risk, and sound commercial control throughout delivery.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
· Strong client relationships and clear communication are central to successful project delivery.
· From project reviews and commercial discussions to emerging delivery issues, the role provides clear visibility of progress, risks, changes and commitments, bringing the right stakeholders together when decisions or action are required.
Bid, Proposal & Contract Support
· Strong projects start before delivery begins.
· Contribute to bids, estimates, schedules, proposals and contract reviews, helping connect what PSC commits to commercially with what delivery teams ultimately need to achieve.
· Effective proposal-to-project handovers will also ensure scope, assumptions, exclusions, commercial constraints and client commitments are understood from the outset.
Capability & Continuous Improvement
· Help strengthen practical project management across the function by improving tools, reporting, governance and ways of working where these can make delivery simpler, more consistent and commercially effective.
· It’s about good project management that enables delivery, rather than adding process for the sake of process.
What you’ll bring
Experience managing client-facing projects across engineering, utilities, infrastructure, telecommunications, technology or consulting, with the ability to balance scope, schedule, risk and stakeholder priorities throughout the project lifecycle.
Commercially astute, the successful candidate will be comfortable with forecasting, profitability, cash flow, variations and contractual risk, identifying issues early and working alongside technical teams to keep projects on track. There’s no need to be the technical expert, but confidence working with engineers and specialists is important. A recognised PMP, PRINCE2, AIPM or APM qualification, or equivalent practical experience, would be advantageous.
