Diesel Mechanic – Heavy Machinery & Equipment Coonamble, NSW | Full-Time Permanent | 85-95k + Super + Accommodation + Work Vehicle

Our client operates a large-scale agricultural business in the Coonamble region of NSW, incorporating a 17,000-head cattle feedlot.

An opportunity exists for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join the maintenance team, responsible for the diagnosis, servicing and repair of diesel-powered machinery, heavy vehicles and mechanical equipment associated with the business.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in diesel engines, heavy vehicles and machinery.
- Service and repair diesel-powered equipment, including tractors, loaders, trucks and associated machinery.
- Inspect, dismantle, repair and reassemble engines, transmissions, braking systems and mechanical components.
- Diagnose and repair faults in fuel injection, cooling, lubrication and hydraulic systems.
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electrical faults.
- Undertake scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and machinery inspections.
- Repair or replace worn and defective mechanical components.




- Test machinery following repairs to ensure secure and reliable operation.
- Attend equipment breakdowns and undertake necessary mechanical repairs.
- Maintain accurate servicing and repair records.

Skills and Experience
- Relevant trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics or Heavy Vehicle Mechanics.
- Experience servicing and repairing diesel engines, heavy vehicles and machinery.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems and associated components.
- Ability to work independently and undertake mechanical repairs to a high standard.
- Experience with agricultural machinery advantageous.
