Join Resmed as a Student Product Sustainability Engineer in Sydney and turn your engineering or science studies into meaningful, hands-on impact.
Through our 2026/27 Student Summer Intern Program, youâll spend 12 weeks with the Product Sustainability team within the broader Materials Engineering Group. Youâll help evaluate and improve the environmental impact of Resmed products across their entire lifecycle, supporting sustainability ambitions that benefit patients, the planet and the future of healthcare.
Reporting to the Product Sustainability Associate Manager, youâll contribute within a small, empowered team and collaborate with Materials Engineering, Global Sustainability and Product teams across the organisation.
What Youâll Do
- Support the evaluation of environmental impacts across the complete product lifecycle
- Contribute to initiatives that advance Resmedâs product sustainability ambitions
- Work with the Product Sustainability team to influence more sustainable product decisions
- Collaborate with Materials Engineering, Global Sustainability and Product teams
- Help solve sustainability challenges within a complex global organisation
- Balance environmental priorities with practical business needs
- Communicate ideas and findings clearly to stakeholders across different teams
- Bring fresh thinking to opportunities that improve outcomes for patients and the planet
What You Bring
- Current studies in an Engineering or Science degree
- Explicit written and verbal communication
- A collaborative approach to working with others
- Creative and practical problem-solving
- An interest in product sustainability and environmental impact
- The confidence to contribute ideas and challenge existing thinking constructively
Nice to Have
- A study focus in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Design, or Materials Science & Engineering
