About the role

An established fire protection business is looking for an experienced Passive Fire Technician to join their team, working across commercial and construction projects throughout NSW.

This role will suit someone with hands-on passive fire experience who understands fire-rated systems, takes pride in their workmanship and can deliver quality installations in line with relevant standards and site requirements.

Key responsibilities

- Install passive fire protection systems across a range of sites.

- Carry out fire stopping to service penetrations, including pipes, cables and ductwork.

- Install fire-rated sealants, collars, wraps, boards and other passive fire products.

- Identify and rectify defects in passive fire installations.

- Ensure work meets relevant fire-rating requirements, project specifications and compliance standards.

- Complete site documentation, photographs and compliance records as required.

- Work alongside site supervisors and other trades to keep projects running smoothly.

- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and follow all site safety requirements.

What we're looking for
- Previous hands-on experience in passive fire protection.

- Knowledge of fire stopping systems and fire-rated penetrations.





- Understanding of passive fire compliance requirements and relevant Australian Standards.

- Ability to read site drawings and follow installation specifications.

- Robust attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

- White Card and current driver's licence.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Relevant passive fire qualifications, training or industry certifications will be highly regarded.
