Excellent prospect for an experienced CAD/CAM Programmer / CNC Machinist to join a long-established engineering company in the Albury/Wodonga region.
This is an excellent position for someone who can take a job from drawing or 3D model through to programming, machine setup and finished component.
This is not repetitive production machining. You will be involved in the complete machining process, producing one-off, small-batch and complex precision components across a range of industries.
In this role, you will be responsible for Mastercam programming, CNC machine setup and operation, developing machining strategies, selecting tooling, speeds and feeds, proving out programs and producing finished components to specification.
You will be working with CNC milling and machining centres and will need a strong understanding of machining methods, tooling and precision manufacturing.
TO APPLY YOU SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:
- Strong Mastercam experience
- CNC programming, setting and operating skills
- CNC milling / machining centre experience
- Ability to work from engineering drawings and 3D models
- Good cutting tool and machining knowledge
- Experience developing machining strategies
- Ability to select tooling, speeds and feeds
- Strong problem-solving skills
- High standard of workmanship
Trade qualifications as a CNC Machinist, Fitter & Turner, Toolmaker or similar engineering trade would be highly regarded.
This is a permanent full-time position offering $50-$60 per hour + super + overtime, depending on experience.
Relocation assistance or a relocation bonus is available for the right person.
