We're looking for a technically strong Senior Business Analyst to join our PostPlus Backend Services team. About the Role

As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll play a critical role in shaping and defining solutions that support Australia Post's retail network and customer-facing services.

Working closely with Product Owners, Architects, Engineers and Delivery teams, you'll bridge the gap between business objectives and technical implementation. You'll be responsible for ensuring features, epics and user stories are clearly defined, technically sound and ready for development.

This is a hands-on role where you'll analyse APIs, system behaviour, data flows and integration points to ensure delivery teams have everything they need to build, test and support high-quality solutions.

What You'll Be Doing

- Translate business needs into clear, actionable and delivery-ready requirements
- Shape features and epics into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria
- Analyse system interactions, data flows, business rules and integration requirements
- Review API specifications, payloads, request and response patterns, and technical constraints
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand solution impacts and dependencies
- Identify gaps, risks and downstream impacts across systems and processes
- Support backlog refinement,



estimation and prioritisation activities
- Produce high-quality documentation that enables efficient development, testing and support outcomes

What You'll Bring

We're looking for a Senior Business Analyst who is comfortable operating in complex technology environments and enjoys working deeply within technical solutions.

You'll ideally bring

- Extensive Business Analysis experience within technology delivery environments
- Strong experience defining system, integration, API and data requirements
- The ability to navigate ambiguity and turn complex problems into clear delivery outcomes
- A proactive approach to challenging assumptions and uncovering hidden requirements
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
- Strong documentation skills using tools such as Jira, Confluence and related delivery platforms
- Confidence working with technical teams to understand APIs, payloads, workflows, logging and exception handling

Highly Regarded Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas will be highly advantageous:
- Retail technology, point-of-sale (POS) platforms or transaction processing environments
- Customer-facing digital products and services
- AWS and cloud-based architectures
- Enterprise integration and middleware platforms
- Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP, TIBCO, Kong or similar technologies
- API-led and microservices-based environments
