What this role is all about

Based in our Sydney office, this role offers the opportunity to lead and deliver high-quality electrical design solutions across diverse and complex projects including commercial, health, education, defence, and major infrastructure.

You’ll join a multidisciplinary national team, working closely with project leaders and clients to deliver design excellence and innovation.

You’ll manage your own projects from concept through to completion while helping shape the continued growth of our Sydney Electrical team.

As a senior member of the discipline, you’ll play a key role in mentoring emerging engineers, contributing to business development, and representing Lucid across clients and industry networks.

How you’ll contribute day-to-day

- Lead and deliver electrical design projects with a focus on technical excellence
- Manage projects end-to-end from concept through to detailed design and delivery
- Provide design certification and QA review in line with Lucid’s policies and standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes
- Support and mentor junior and graduate engineers as the team continues to grow
- Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and project partners
- Prepare fee proposals and contribute to business development opportunities
- Attend site inspections, meetings and industry events as a Lucid representative

What sets you up for success

- An Australian-recognised degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant trade background
- Professional registration such as CPEng, NER,



RPEQ or QBCC Designer’s Licence, or eligibility to obtain
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC and relevant industry codes
- Proficiency with engineering and design software including Revit
- Proven experience delivering electrical projects across all stages of design and delivery
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
- A passion for technical accuracy, teamwork and delivering outstanding client outcomes
