Nestled within our sustainably led, mission-driven hotel, Bamford Wellness Spa is a calm and immersive retreat designed to nurture mind, body, and spirit. With beautifully appointed treatment rooms, a fully equipped fitness area, pool, sauna, steam room, and curated wellness programming, the spa is an essential expression of the 1 Hotels guest journey.

As Director of Spa & Wellness, you will lead the strategic direction and day-to-day operation of the spa and wellness facilities, creating a holistic experience that reflects the spirit of both 1 Hotels and Bamford. This role calls for a leader who is both strategic and hands-on, someone who can inspire a high-performing team, deliver strong commercial results, elevate the guest experience, and establish Bamford Wellness Spa as one of Melbourne’s leading luxury wellness destinations.

What You’ll Do

- Lead the daily operations of Bamford Wellness Spa and wellness facilities, with a focus on service excellence and commercial performance
- Develop and execute strategic plans that position Bamford Wellness Spa as a leader in the luxury wellness space
- Curate and evolve wellness experiences, spa programming, and treatment offerings in alignment with brand standards and guest expectations
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships across the hotel to ensure a seamless and exceptional guest journey
- Champion initiatives that reflect our values, sustainability ethos, and commitment to conscious hospitality




- Oversee key operational functions including scheduling, procurement, inventory management, facility upkeep, and team deployment
- Maintain a strong knowledge of Bamford products, services, and treatment standards
- Ensure the highest levels of presentation, cleanliness, compliance, and operational excellence across all spa and wellness spaces
- Monitor budgets, drive profitability, and maximise daily revenue opportunities
- Lead, coach, and develop the spa team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and care
