Operations Assistant - Earthmoving & Excavation

Earthlift Excavations – Bayswater North VIC

Working alongside our experienced team, you will assist with scheduling and booking excavation jobs, coordinate machinery, trucks, operators and equipment, and communicate with builders, customers and field staff. You will learn to read, interpret, draw and check construction and excavation plans, help resolve day-to-day operational challenges, monitor job progress and assist with scheduling adjustments, and perform general operational administration and maintain accurate job records.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting with scheduling and booking excavation jobs
- Coordinating machinery, trucks, operators and equipment
- Communicating with builders, customers and field staff
- Learning to read, interpret, draw and check construction and excavation plans
- Helping resolve day-to-day operational challenges
- Monitoring job progress and assisting with scheduling adjustments




- General operational administration and maintaining accurate job records

About you

- Good computer skills and the ability to learn new software
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A practical approach to problem solving
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- A positive attitude, initiative and willingness to learn
- Reliable, motivated and a team player
- Previous experience in construction or earthmoving would be an advantage but is not essential
