Electrical Estimator | Intermediate / Senior

About the Role

New Edge Group is seeking an experienced Intermediate/Senior Electrical Estimator to join our Victorian team, based in Melbourne.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator to work across a range of commercial and industrial electrical projects, preparing accurate and competitive tenders while working closely with our estimating, project and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed electrical estimates and tender submissions
- Review drawings, specifications and scopes of work
- Complete accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates
- Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Prepare tender documentation and submissions
- Identify project risks, exclusions and opportunities during the tender process
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, builders and clients
- Review project requirements and provide practical value-engineering solutions
- Assist with tender clarifications and post-tender negotiations
- Maintain accurate estimating documentation and records
- Work closely with Project Managers and internal teams during project handover
- Ensure estimates reflect project requirements,



specifications and relevant standards

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator within the construction industry
- Experience estimating commercial and/or industrial electrical projects
- Electrical trade qualification and/or relevant electrical engineering or construction qualification
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, drawings and specifications
- Strong knowledge of electrical materials, labour and installation requirements
- Experience preparing tenders, take-offs and cost estimates
- Good commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines
- Strong computer literacy
- A positive, professional and solutions-focused approach
