IAA Australia, part of global marketplace leader Ritchie Bros., is looking for a Auction Valuer (Salvage) to join our growing salvage team. This is a highly autonomous, national-level role with real scope to shape how we value vehicles across the country — and no, you won’t need to go stand in a yard to do it. Every valuation is completed through our online portal, so this role is fully computer-based and flexible on location.

What You’ll Do
Valuation & Market Analysis
Conduct salvage valuations across vehicles, heavy salvage, caravans and marine using auction data, market trends, and proprietary pricing tools
Meet accuracy benchmarks and SLA turnaround times
Stay on top of market conditions and auction trends
Partner with Remarketing, Sales, and Operations to keep valuations aligned with business and customer needs
Provide valuation insights to support internal decisions and customer conversations
Supply buy prices for denied claim vehicles and support pricing strategy for auction outcomes
Maintain and improve the IAA AU Vehicle Database
Help build out the AU pricing guide and refine valuation methodology over time
Ensure compliance with company policy and industry standards
About You
Experience valuing vehicles — salvage valuation experience is a strong plus, but we’re also keen to hear from people with strong vehicle valuation, dealer trade, or insurance assessing backgrounds
A sharp eye for identifying vehicle spec level and condition
Comfortable interpreting auction data and pricing models
Solid communicator who can work confidently across teams
