About the Role

Kaurna Halal Corner is seeking an experienced Full-Time Halal Butcher to join our team in Adelaide. This hands-on role requires strong technical skills in meat preparation, a solid understanding of halal slaughtering and handling requirements, and the ability to work in a professional halal butchery environment. You will contribute to delivering consistently high‑quality halal meat and products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Break down beef, goat, lamb, deer, camel and chicken in accordance with halal standards
- Prepare halal‑compliant smallgoods, including sausages, steaks, salami and related products
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure all meat and products meet halal and food‑safety requirements
- Weigh, package, label, price and display products professionally
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and halal handling practices
- Ensure accurate cut specifications and consistent product presentation
- Provide friendly, respectful and professional customer service
- Work collaboratively within a fast‑paced halal butchery team

About You

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in butchery, preferably in a halal butcher shop or halal meat environment
- Strong skills in breaking down beef, lamb, goat and chicken
- Demonstrated knowledge of halal meat handling, segregation, contamination control and halal compliance




- Experience preparing smallgoods such as sausages, steaks, salami and related products
- Excellent knife‑handling skills and understanding of cut specifications
- Strong awareness of yield, waste control and food‑safety standards
- Ability to perform quality inspections and maintain halal integrity throughout all processes
- Professional, friendly and customer‑focused communication style
- Strong attention to detail, reliability and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
