We’re looking for a reliable Kitchen Hand to join our bakery team in North Melbourne.

Working alongside our pastry and bakery team, you’ll play an important part in keeping the kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly throughout the day. It’s a hands-on role with plenty of movement – you’ll be on your feet for most of the shift, moving between washing up, cleaning, setting up spaces and helping out across the bakery where needed.

We’re looking for someone who can regularly work Thursdays and Fridays, with some flexibility to pick up additional days when needed.

What you’ll be doing

- Keeping on top of dishes throughout production, using both the commercial dishwasher and hand washing where needed
- Washing utensils, trays, mixing bowls and other bakery equipment
- Cleaning floors, work areas, bathrooms and shared spaces
- Emptying bins and keeping the kitchen and surrounding areas clean and tidy
- Helping set up our front-of-house space in the morning, including moving and arranging furniture
- Helping with deliveries and putting stock away
- Occasionally supporting the bakery team with straightforward production tasks, such as weighing ingredients
- Helping out with other day-to-day tasks that keep the bakery running smoothly

About you

You don’t need to have worked in a bakery before. Experience as a kitchen hand, porter or in a commercial kitchen is helpful, but what’s most important to us is finding someone reliable,



who works well and takes pride in keeping things clean and organised.

You’ll need to be:

- Comfortable being on your feet and moving throughout the shift
- Happy with a role that involves regular washing, cleaning, lifting and moving items
- Someone who works well independently and can see what needs to be done
- Happy to work alongside different parts of the team and lend a hand where needed
- Available Thursdays and Fridays on an ongoing basis, with some flexibility for additional shifts
