Medical Receptionist

Part-time initially, transitioning to full-time in 2027

Yarraville Dermatology is seeking a friendly, organised and reliable Medical Receptionist to join our team.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and customer service skills who enjoys working in a professional medical environment. The successful applicant will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our clinic and providing a welcoming experience for our patients.

Previous medical reception experience is preferred, and experience using Genie medical software would be an advantage. However, we are happy to provide training to the right candidate, including training in the use of our UV machine.

Key Responsibilities

- Greeting patients and providing friendly, professional service.
- Answering incoming phone calls and responding to patient enquiries.
- Scheduling, confirming and managing patient appointments.
- Managing patient records and updating information in the practice management system.
- Processing payments and handling general administrative duties.
- Liaising with doctors, nurses and other team members to ensure the smooth running of the clinic.
- Assisting with general clinic operations and patient coordination.
- Learning to operate the clinic's UV machine, with training provided.

- Previous medical reception experience is preferred.

Working Hours

Initially, the position will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, for the remainder of 2026.

The role is expected to transition to full time hours in 2027, offering an opportunity for someone seeking a long-term position with our clinic.
