Kestrel Eight is an Australian skilled services firm and IBM / Red Hat Advanced Partner. We provide certified, project-ready consultants into government and large enterprise environments, and we are looking for a senior consultant to join our engagement with a large national retailer.

The situation

Business teams at the client are already building Power Apps and using Copilot and early AI agents. The work is happening, but it is ad hoc and unstructured. The organisation wants to bring order to it so agents can be created, shared, and managed with proper control, rather than one-off by whoever gets there first.

The role

You will design and establish the approach for how AI agents and Power Apps are built, governed and supported across the business. That means setting the structure, working with business users and technology teams to put it in place, and building a few agents properly so the standard is clear. You will then hand the work over to the client’s BAU support team, so documentation, coaching and a clean handover are part of the job, not an afterthought.

This is a consulting role. The client needs someone who can bring experience, give direction and leave something that lasts after the engagement ends.

What we are looking for

You will have hands-on experience with Power Apps and Microsoft Copilot, and a track record of building AI agents. You will have worked in larger organisations where governance, security and data handling matter, and you can explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders. Experience setting up standards or an operating model for citizen development is a strong advantage.
