The Role

We are seeking compassionate and engaging Youth Support Workers to support participants living in McCrae, VIC.
Each role focuses on helping the participant build routine, increase community access, and engage more actively in their interests and hobbies.

- The Role: Male Support Worker for a 15-year-old boy

Our participant needs patient, reliable, and friendly workers who can encourage structure, independence, and confidence through positive, activity-based engagement.

Participant Overviews:

15-year-old boy

- Requires a male support worker
- Needs encouragement to participate in hobbies and community activities
- Enjoys sports, outdoor outings, and social interaction
- Would benefit from a positive male role model to build confidence and independence

Key Responsibilities:

- Build a positive, trusting relationship with the participant and family
- Support routine building and daily structure
- Encourage community access and engagement in hobbies or social activities
- Provide companionship, motivation, and gentle guidance
- Maintain professional boundaries and consistent communication with parents
- Transport participants safely to and from activities (if required)

Work Hours:

- Location: McCrae, VIC
- 15-year-old participant: Approx. 5 hours per fortnight (casual position)
- Adaptable scheduling available
- NDIS-funded supports

Remuneration:

- AU$35.00 – AU$38.00 per hour (+ Superannuation)
- Paid fortnightly




- Travel allowance available if required

Preferred Qualities:

- Fun, friendly, and energetic personality
- Experience or interest in supporting children or teenagers with additional needs
- Creative and proactive in planning engaging activities
- Reliable, patient, and understanding communicator
- Ability to build rapport and encourage independence

Eligibility Criteria:

- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- National Police Check (within last 12 months)
- First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009)
- Right to work in Australia
- Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (preferred)
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or Youth Work (preferred)
