Job DescriptionYard Hand – Vehicle Storage & DistributionWe are seeking a reliable and hands-on Yard Hand to support the day-to-day operations of our vehicle storage and distribution facility.This role is responsible for moving and positioning vehicles throughout the yard, conducting vehicle inspections, maintaining yard presentation standards, and assisting with vehicle dispatch activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring vehicles are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently.Key Responsibilities

- Safely move and park vehicles throughout the yard and storage compound
- Assist with inbound and outbound vehicle processing
- Conduct vehicle condition inspections and report any damage or defects
- Prepare and stage vehicles for transport and customer delivery
- Complete basic vehicle checks and support Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) activities
- Maintain accurate vehicle location records and inventory updates
- Assist with stock takes and yard audits
- Ensure vehicles are presented to a high standard
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all site safety procedures and traffic management requirements
- Assist transport drivers and contractors during vehicle loading and unloading




- Support general yard duties as required

About You

- Previous experience in a vehicle yard, logistics, transport, automotive, or warehouse workplace
- Confident driving and maneuvering a variety of vehicles
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify vehicle damage or defects
- Able to work safely in a fast-paced outdoor environment
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work as part of a team
- Basic computer skills for completing vehicle records and inspections
- Valid driver's license

Desirable

- Experience working in vehicle distribution centers, transport yards, or port operations
- Experience with vehicle inspections and condition reporting
- Knowledge of vehicle storage and dispatch processes
- Experience with zebra scanners or phone QR scanners

This is a hands-on role that involves working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. The successful applicant will have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to workplace safety.Job Type: Full-time
