Jessie Cares is seeking experienced and compassionate Disability Support Workers in Nowra to provide high-quality, person-centered support to people living with disability.

We are looking for reliable support workers who are confident working independently, supporting participants in their homes and community, and assisting them to achieve greater independence and quality of life.

About the Role

Depending on the participant's needs, your duties may include:

- Personal care and assistance with daily living activities
- Community access and social participation
- Transporting participants to appointments, activities and outings
- Meal preparation and light household duties
- Supporting participants with routines and independence
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Following individual support plans and participant preferences
- Completing accurate shift notes and documentation
- Communicating professionally with participants, families and the Jessie Cares team

Essential Requirements

To be considered, applicants must have:

- Certificate III or higher qualification in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care,



Community Services or another relevant field
- Own reliable vehicle
- Current Australian Driver Licence
- Current comprehensive motor vehicle insurance
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Australian working rights
- Ability to provide relevant employment and qualification documentation
- A reliable, professional and person-centred approach

What We're Looking For

We are particularly interested in support workers who:

- Are available for regular and ongoing shifts in the Nowra/Shoalhaven area
- Are comfortable driving participants as part of their support
- Can work independently and use good judgement
- Are dependable and committed to accepted shifts
- Communicate clearly and respectfully
- Have previous disability or community support experience
