About the opportunity

Australia Post's Small Business segment is one of our most important growth channels, supporting thousands of Australian businesses as they scale and succeed. As a Business Account Manager, you'll manage a portfolio of customers, building strong relationships that drive retention, revenue growth and outstanding customer experiences.

Working as a trusted advisor, you'll partner closely with customers to understand their business goals, identify opportunities to expand solutions, and leverage Australia Post's eCommerce expertise and broader product suite. While the role is predominantly phone-based, you'll have opportunities to engage with customers through virtual platforms and face-to-face interactions when required.

You’ll also

- Manage and grow a portfolio of small business customers through proactive account management and relationship building.
- Retain and expand existing revenue through contract renewals, pricing reviews, and cross-sell opportunities.
- Identify, qualify and close new business opportunities across your portfolio and inbound sales leads.
- Develop strategic account plans that maximise customer value, satisfaction, and long-term growth.
- Partner with internal specialists and cross-functional teams to deliver seamless customer outcomes.
- Leverage industry and eCommerce insights to help customers grow and optimise their businesses

About you

- Experience in B2B and B2C sales, account management or business development preferred.




- Demonstrated success achieving or exceeding sales and revenue targets.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capability.
- Confidence engaging with business owners and senior decision-makers.
- Experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing customer portfolios.
- Ability to prioritise competing opportunities in a quick-paced environment.
- Exposure to eCommerce, logistics, shipping or small business environments will be highly regarded.
- Comfortable utilising AI and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, analysis and business outcomes.
